Edge of Tomorrow is pretty witty and inventive, as every sci-fi movie needs to be. CGI effects make the action sequences with aliens come to life. Don't miss out on it. Robocop is a movie about a cop who has been brought back to life with both robotic and human characteristics. He becomes half machine, and boy does he kick ass! This film is ultra-violent, in case you still haven't figured out, which is what makes it a thoroughly enjoyable. On top of that, the screenplay, acting, and directing are top-notch. I would go as far as to say that it's Paul Verhoeven's best work as a director. Although the bad guys don't have any sort of dimension, the Robocop himself has enough character and charisma to keep you hooked until the end. If you are looking for some good action where the hero turn things around all by himself, Robocop should be right up your alley. Just don't expect it to blow you away. Don't believe the negativity around this movie. Most people give it bad reviews because it didn't align with their religious beliefs, which is totally fine.

It's a story about a fragile girl turning into an invincible, emotionless warrior. If you can suspend your disbelief for a while and watch this movie with an open mind, you'll certainly enjoy it. It has everything - amazing camera work, fascinating fight scenes, and most importantly, a gritting storyline. Lucy is very similar to Limitless as both of them explore the same concept. Is there a possibility that we exist in a parallel word? Is there a different version of ourselves living their lives in another dimension? Directed by Duncan Jones, Source Code tackles these perplexing questions heads-on. The plot revolves around an American soldier, Colter Steven, who finds himself on a commuter train to Chicago. His last memory is of being in a plane as it crashed in Afghanistan, but he discovers that he is now in the body of a school teacher named Sean Fentress. As he comes to grips with this new reality, a bomb explodes killing everyone aboard the train. But wait... he is still alive. He wakes up to find himself strapped and wounded in some sort of military facility.

Good Will Hunting is a story about a mathematics genius with no formal education. The only problem is that his traumatized childhood prevents him from becoming the man he could be. His life begins to change when a professor spots him solving a mind-bending problem within minutes—something that took the professor almost two years to solve—and decides to help him out. It's witty and hilarious throughout. While it's not exactly like Limitless, both movies explore the same concept: unleashing the power of the mind. It's easily a 10/10 in my opinion. You are bound to have a good time when you put legends like Meatloaf, Rhys Ifans, Robert Carlyle, Emily Mortimer, and Samuel Jackson together in a movie. The plot of Formula 51 revolves around an American chemist who bets on a lifetime drug deal to get rich. Things don't go according to plan and he finds out that he has been fooled. Formula 51 never takes itself seriously. However, don't let that stop you from watching it. It's certainly not a classic, but you won't regret spending 93 minutes of your life watching this movie.
They have to be like that to appeal to the masses. Simply put, films about dreams and the subconscious are usually not very straightforward. Inception, a sci-fi thriller directed, produced and developed by Christopher Nolan, is no exception. The plot revolves around Dom Cobb, a criminal who steals ideas from people's mind by working his way to their subconscious through shared dreaming. This time around, though, he and his team are not entering the subconscious to steal the idea. Their plan is to plant an idea inside a businessman's head. The only problem is, they will have to go into a dream within a dream, possibly even a layer or two deeper than that. If they die there, it would be game-over as they would be stuck in the limbo. Does it sound a bit strange? That's because it is! It took more than 10 years to write the screenplay for this movie! Inception is one of those rare films that lives up to the hype. It's a highly original movie that will continue to keep you guessing until the credits roll.
Just give it a shot and you'll be glad you did. The farmer is has gained a favor with his creator due to his honest and holy life. Will he oblige or revolt? You will find that out when you give it a shot. Thee market is flooded with sic-fi movies these days. Rarely does something as extraordinary as Oblivion lands on our screens, though. It's a visual extravaganza. Tom Cruise stars playing a man who has been sent back to a wasted Earth to extract its remaining useful sources before joining others on a faraway colony. His concept of reality changes when he encounters a stranger, making him question the reality of the world he lives in. Don't let anyone tell you anything else related to plot before you watch this move. Part of the enjoyment is not knowing what to expect. If you like sci-fi movies, you are going to love the plotline, the acting, and the chilling visuals.
Transcendence is a story about a scientist on the verge of finding a breakthrough in A. I technology. As a terrorist group begins knocking off all his labs around the country, and kills the scientist, his wife manages to upload his consciousness to a computer, thus allowing him to continue his research. As you would have guessed, the plan doesn't work out well. I personally feel that critics were a bit harsh on this movie. Don't expect too much and you'll be surprised! I should thank the reviewers for lowering my expectations before I walked into the theater. Edge of Tomorrow borrows heavily from some of the other movies I've mentioned here. It's a dizzying combination! The plot revolves around an officer who is sent to the front line to help wipe out the aliens from earth. His only problem is... he has never seen combat.. Killed instantly in an early battle, he then enters a time loop, re-living the same last moments over and over again. Will he be able to turn the tables and win a seemingly impossible fight?
The theatrical film ending is intentionally ambiguous, is Eddie lying just to screw with Van Loon and rub it in his face that of course he has more labs and has improved the drug? Is he really off it but has kept all (or most) of the powers? Or is it somewhere in between? Like he said in the film, off it or not, he anticipated Van Loon trying to stop him or manipulate him. He's fifty steps ahead. He's learned from his own and other's past mistakes (like Atwood who ended up dead). The show is side stepping it for now to insert Eddie into the picture AND bypass the inevitable withdrawal/tolerance issues of taking the drug daily. Without that magical monthly antidote, Brian would likely need more and more NZT to get the same effects like most psychoactive drugs. As well as eventually killing him from withdrawals if he stopped taking it. Also, by having Eddie give him the anti-withdrawal drug, the FBI thinks Brian's brain chemistry that prevents withdrawal/side-effects is innate and that adds to their decision to use him in the field.
What's going on? How is still alive? Is he? Revealing anything else would spoil the movie. If you are looking for something mind-bending, Source Code should be your best bet. The Butterfly Effect The Butterfly Effect tells a fascinating story about Evan Treborn, a troubled young man who mysteriously blacked out during some of the worst moments of his childhood. As he grows up, he finds a way to go back to those moments and relive them. Hoping to change his future for the better, he takes a different path each time, which leads him to alternate realities. His adult mind embodies his past self as he goes back into the past to fix his present. Every time he comes back in the present, he finds out that some things have gone well, and others have gone awry. Will he be able to fix it for himself and his friends? This intriguing thriller would keep you on the edge of your seat as Evan swings back and forth between past and present. The whole movie is a roller-coaster ride. Movies about time-travel and dreams are always weird.
